I just watched this movie on Netflix yesterday and I must say that a whole food plant based diet I believe is the most healthiest diet you can adopt. We don't believe in just changing your diet, we believe is changing your lifestyle and that is what adopting a whole foods plant based diet is all about.
The Claim: A diet primarily based on mostly fruits, vegetables, whole grains, legumes and nuts without any added sugar, salt, or oils is the most healthiest diet.
Now that's the claim in the movie and in my honest opinion I believe it to be true. Many believe that your weight is the only indicator of health and it is one of the primary factors, but you must consider other factors like disease prevention. A whole foods plant based diet can prevent heart disease, stroke, diabetes, and that's just to name a few. You must view your health in a holistic way not just your weight or how you look.
Weight Loss can also happen on a whole foods plant based diet. Now, this is not the only way to lose weight and we at Coach Fit Life can present to you a nutrition plan that incorporates meat as well as plant based foods. We do believe however that a whole foods plant based diet is the most healthy way to lose weight along with exercise.
Where should I begin?
If you are considering a diet mostly of whole plant based foods then your starting point should be incorporating those types of foods into your diet. You don't have to go cold turkey and stop eating everything you like though that method may be the best for some people. Eat less meat and processed foods to start.
